Description

The taste of coconut oil is irresistible to most pets, and because it is a medium-chain fatty acid (MCFA), coconut oil is absorbed directly by the gastrointestinal tract and goes straight to the liver to be metabolised into energy. It helps relieve and even prevent bodily and digestive problems. Some studies show that feeding your pet fatty acids (MCFA) can help reduce fat deposits and may even help prevent weight gain — while providing your pet with energy to help improve athletic performance and endurance.

Ingredients: Turmeric (curcumin) is infused into coconut oil together with black pepper. All are organic, extra virgin, cold-pressed, raw and unrefined (in short – top grade).

For centuries, turmeric has been used for its anti-inflammatory and detoxifying properties, so it is the perfect health match!

Pawsome Organics always insists on the best, which is why we source only the best coconut oil.

All oils are processed on certified organic plantations using sustainable farming techniques.

Combined with the powerful effects of coconut oil, turmeric may help reduce inflammation. The active ingredient curcumin has many scientifically proven medicinal properties. This is especially good news for a golden oldie (senior dog) with creaky joints or a dog with itchy skin.

The active ingredient in turmeric is curcumin, and when curcumin is mixed with the piperine in black pepper, the body’s absorption of it increases 2000-fold.

Is coconut oil safe for dogs? Dr Bruce Fife, author of Coconut Therapy for Pets, says coconut oil is very safe for all kinds of animals, from dogs to cats to birds, rabbits, guinea pigs and even cattle and horses.

Friendly reminders:

– Although coconut oil is safe, if your dog has a health condition it is best to consult your holistic vet before adding any new supplement (including coconut oil).

– Although coconut oil is generally safe for dogs, for furry ones with more sensitive stomachs we recommend starting with a very small amount (do not follow the product’s recommended amount at first) to let the stomach gradually adjust, to avoid too much coconut oil at once possibly causing diarrhoea.

– Different temperatures will turn coconut oil from solid to liquid, but this has no effect on taste or nutritional value; it is a very stable and healthy oil.
