Adult cats may be fed once or twice daily, or fed free-choice if preferred. When you first start feeding Natural Balance Super Premium series food, we recommend starting with the amount suggested in the table.
Kittens should be fed free-choice, at up to twice the feeding amount of an adult cat of the same weight, to promote healthy growth and appropriate weight gain. To encourage eating, newly weaned kittens may be offered food moistened with warm water.
Pregnant and nursing queens will eat more, up to 4 times an adult cat’s requirement per day, and should be fed free-choice.
The amounts in the table are for reference only. Energy requirements vary with environmental conditions, temperature, age and the cat’s activity level. Adjust the food portion regularly to maintain ideal body condition.
For less active and older cats, we recommend reducing food intake to maintain ideal body condition.
